Theatre Angels Wanted for "American Fiesta"

The Colony Theatre in Burbank, CA is planning to stage the West Coast premiere of Steven Tomlinson's American Fiesta this fall, and has asked for help in "casting" some of the stars of the show.

Artistic Director Barbara Beckley tells us that American Fiesta is "a play about a passionate collector of vintage Fiestaware, who sets out on a cross-country journey to find special pieces to complete his collection.  Along the way he discovers America, and the pieces he acquires become a metaphor for our country, in all its wonderful diversity.  A beautiful play, it celebrates Fiestaware while illuminating its uniquely American history and tradition."

The theatre is looking to acquire (at a reasonable cost) or borrow the following vintage Fiesta pieces for its production:
  • No. 7 mixing bowls in Red, Cobalt, Light Green and Yellow
  • No. 6 mixing bowl in Light Green
  • No. 5 mixing bowl in Red
  • No. 4 mixing bowl in Yellow
  • No. 3 mixing bowls in Red and Ivory
Please contact Barbara by e-mail (barbarabeckley@colonytheatre.org) or phone ((818) 558-7000 x13) if you can help in any way with this request.  Your faithful blogger plans to attend the production and write a review in a future blog post.  The play is scheduled to run from September 26th through October 21st.
