Here's
a brief review of the regulations for entries:
BE CREATIVE - Let Your
Imagination Go!
1.
This event is open to all HLCCA Conference 2016 attendees.
2.
Set up: Participants bring their supplies and arrange their exhibit Saturday,
July 16, 2016, 7:00am-9:00am
3.
Exhibits will be on display Saturday, July 16, 2016, from 10:00am-2:00pm
4.
Conference attendees will vote for “Best of Show” Award via “People’s Choice”
ballots included in registration packets.
5.
Winners will be announced during the Saturday, July 16, 2016, evening Awards
Banquet.
6.
There is a $5.00 fee for each entry - attendees can submit multiple entries in
each competition. Registration deadline was June 1, 2016.
MICROZIBITS
An
exciting category for Display Exhibits --
Microzibits
are unique in that you can exhibit any idea or amount of HLC wares that you
wish to bring.... “anything goes”... as long as it fits within a 30” x 30”
area.
Your
microzibit can be anything from a few pitchers in your collection that you
would like to share with fellow collectors, to a couple items with that special
contemporary or vintage decal you collect, unique mosiac project or craft you
created, or maybe the first pieces of Fiesta® or other HLC dinnerware, or
go-alongs, ephemera, or accessories, that started your collecting frenzy.
A.
Open to all HLCCA Conference 2016 registered attendees.
B.
Use any Homer Laughlin products, vintage or contemporary.
C.
Exhibit size: 30” x 30” area, on supplied, tableclothed table.
D.
Set up: Saturday, July 16, 2016, 7:00-9:00am
E.
Conference attendees will vote for “Best of Show” with the People’s Choice

F.

G.

FLORAL ARRANGEMENT COMPETITION
A. Use any Homer Laughlin
product, vintage or contemporary, to hold your arrangement.
B. Floral items can be
live/fresh, dried, artificial, or handcrafted.
C. Dimensions of your
arrangement cannot exceed 30” wide x 30” deep x 60” high
D. Participants supply their
own container, floral items and equipment/supplies needed to make the
arrangements.
TABLESCAPE PLACESETTING COMPETITON
A. Use any Homer Laughlin
product, vintage or contemporary, to create your tablesetting.
B. Tablesetting can be
accessorized with HLC or non-HLC flatware, fabrics or additional items.
C. Dimensions of your
tablescape cannot exceed 30” wide x 30” deep x 60” high (Option: You are
permitted to drape a tablecloth over the front of the exhibit table)
