For those who may not be able to make it to the Strawser Auction in Indiana in September (or who can't get enough live auction action!), we've just learned of another large collection of vintage Fiesta, Hall Autumn Leaf and other items to be auctioned in Iowa on August 28th and 29th. The auction of the Gary & Trudy Pfeiffer collection by Wilson Auction Service will be held in Colo, IA, which is located 15 miles east of Ames and 35 miles northeast of Des Moines. Click here for more information and photos. UPDATE 8/30/10, 12:28 PM: We understand that the red-striped Fiesta casserole sold for $3,250!

There was a very nice article in the Jackson (MI) Citizen Patriot last Friday about collecting vintage Fiesta. Check it out! Also, if you know any of the folks featured in the article, let them know about HLCCA and ask them to join us!
It's time once again for HLCCA members to place their FREE ads in "TheSideDish", HLCCA's classified advertising supplement that accompanies each issue of The Dish. The Fall 2010 issue of The Dish is in the final stages of preparation and we expect to send the finished pages to the printer soon.
HLCCA members are invited to advertise items for sale, wants, trades, etc. You also may place ads in "The SideDish" to promote events or announce activities related to HLCCA, Fiesta and other HLC product lines, or just inform other HLCCA members of exciting new pottery-related websites!
Members are entitled to submit one (1) free ad per issue, which will be printed on a space-available, first-come, first-served basis. Ads should be limited to 30 words and must include specific contact information, e.g., phone number (with area code), email address, and/or mailing address.
Please forward your ad to The Dish Editor David Schaefer or HLCCA President Sandra Bond. Ads for "The SideDish" must be received by Sunday August 8, 2010.
