HLCCA Remembers Our Fallen Heroes

In our 200th post, HLCCA salutes the brave American men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure our freedom and liberty. To the left is a sample of HLC's Unity shape with a treatment called "Freedom." Unity is one of HLC's foodservice lines.

One Month until the HLC June Tent Sale

HLC's June Tent Sale will be June 24th through 26th. Check out HLC's Facebook page for more details. As in past years, there will be a food drive and a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Just don't forget to bring your dish-wiping sock!

Book Early & Save!

We'd like to remind you that the deadline to take advantage of the reduced HLCCA Conference registration fee of $165 is June 1st; after that date, the registration fee will increase. The deadline for making hotel reservations at the special $109/night conference rate is June 14th. If you have not yet registered for the conference or made your hotel reservations, we urge you to do so as soon as possible!

Also, if you are planning to have a booth at the Show and Sale, to submit items for the HLCCA consignment table, or are planning to participate in the pottery exhibit, tablescape exhibit or floral exhibit competitions, we will need your information as soon as possible. Please contact HLCCA Treasurer Merrill Miller at to obtain the necessary forms, or to advise what items you are planning to place on the consignment table.

Two Months Until HLCCA Conference 2010!

This year's annual HLCCA conference begins in Nashville, TN just 2 short months from today. Be sure to visit the HLCCA website to register on-line.

Hotel reservations should be made directly with the Millennium Maxwell House hotel by calling (800) 457-4460. To guarantee the $109/night conference room rate, you must make your reservation by June 14th.

Finally, the deadline to consign items for the Friday night auction is May 20th. Contact Andy Flachs at or Jeff Kolodey at to consign your items.

The remaining Retro Red-Stripe Fiesta dinner plates, tumblers and mugs are now listed on the HLCCA website store. You will notice that plates and tumblers are listed individually, and there is no listing for sets of 4. However, if you desire to purchase 4 plates or 4 tumblers, enter your order and we will issue a credit to your account giving you the 4-piece discount price. Mugs are sold individually and not as sets.

Flooding in Nashville, TN

We are all saddened to see the loss of life and property in Nashville, TN and other areas of the Cumberland River Valley. Please keep these folks in your thoughts and prayers.

On a brighter note, however, we have confirmed that the host hotel for the upcoming HLCCA Conference, the Millennium Maxwell House, did not sustain any flood damage. The HLCCA conference is on schedule, and we have planned a wonderful conference from July 15th through 18th, 2010. We're looking forward to seeing you there for four days of competitive exhibits, Show and Sale, seminars on a variety of topics, Friday night auction, Saturday evening awards banquet, and lots of door prizes, giveaways and Conference exclusives.

On Wednesday, May 5th, the Morning Living program on Martha Stewart Living Radio (Sirius Channel 112 and XM Channel 157) will include a segment on collecting Fiesta dinnerware.
