Forest vs. Medium Green?

A recent blog visitor has sent these photos of a vintage disc pitcher that she purchased (thanks, Karen!). She's gotten conflicting opinions about whether it is Forest Green or Medium Green. The upper left photo was taken in direct sunlight; no flash was used in any of the photos. What do you think?

Update on Red-Stripe Fiesta

We've received the remainder of the Red-Stripe Fiesta items (i.e., disc pitchers, tumblers, mugs and plates) from HLC. Your orders are being processed and will be shipped in the order in which they were received.

The Red-Stripe Fiesta disc pitchers will not be placed on the HLCCA website. However, once all current orders have been filled, the remainder of the tumblers, plates and mugs will be placed on our website for online purchase. We'll try to give you plenty of advance warning since they will probably sell out again quickly!

We thank you all very much for your patience, and request that you be patient for just a little while longer. There are many orders to pack and ship; consequently, it may be several days before all orders will be on their way to their lucky recipients!

Spy Photo of the Latest Addition to the Square Fiesta Line!

We've been trying to keep quiet about this one, since we weren't supposed to see it hidden in the back of the HLC booth at the recent housewares show in Chicago (we actually had to sneak into the show itself--but that's another story!).

Anyway, our sources inform us that this Tall Square Fiesta Mug is the apparent replacement for the late (and much lamented) Fiesta Pedestal Mug. This LEMONGRASS prototype is seen with the regular Square Fiesta Mugs in COBALT and IVORY for comparison.

Mere seconds after this photo was snapped, HLC plainclothes security agents escorted your faithful blogger from McCormick Place and deposited him (roughly) upon the chilly winter pavements of the Windy City. Luckily, we were able to smuggle out our trusty digital spy camera, concealed upon our person in the form of a (counterfeit) name-tag lanyard!

Keep your eyes open for this exciting new Square Fiesta piece at finer housewares retailers everywhere!

(PS - Also, please note the date of this post.)
