Conference 2014 Floral Arrangement Competition

Greetings conference attendees~ It's that time of year where you need to be thinking about exhibits for the conference. The floral arrangement competition is a perfect way to get involved and show off those "orphan" dishes or one of your fancier HLC pieces. The rules are very simple: Use any Homer Laughlin product, vintage or contemporary, to hold your arrangement. Floral items can be live/fresh, dried, artificial or handcrafted. Dimensions of your arrangement can not exceed 18" wide x 18" deep x 30" high. Participants supply their own container, floral items and equipment/supplies needed to make the arrangements. There is a $5.00 fee for each entry - attendees can submit multiple entries in this competition. You have until June 1st to sign up. Share Your Knowledge and Creativity at HLCCA Conference 2011

Each year's HLCCA conference provides you with an opportunity to share your knowledge and creativity with other attendees. Create a judged exhibit that explores fascinating new insights into the wares of Homer Laughlin China. Display your tablescaping prowess or highlight Nature's beautiful flora with a floral arrangement. Application forms for all of the conference competitions were included with the most recent issue of The Dish. There is a nominal cost to enter, and winners will be awarded coveted (and exclusive) HLCCA awards. Return your exhibit applications soon!

It's Spring!

It's now (officially) Spring!  And speaking of things that are blooming....

Don't forget to sign up for the Floral Arrangement competition at this year's HLCCA Conference.  A registration form was included with the most-recent copy of The Dish.  The photo montage to the left depicts the beautiful creations of past years' participants.
