Friday Night Auction at HLCCA Conference 2011

Once again, HLCCA members Andy Flachs and Jeff Kolodey have generously offered to coordinate the Friday Night Auction at this year's conference. Andy and Jeff will soon be ready to start taking consignments for the auction. The number of lots will again be limited this year, with a projected 75 consignments (give or take a few). Consignments will be accepted on a "first come, first served" basis, with the auction committee making the final decision on the items that will be put up for bid. You are encouraged to consign rarer, better-quality items rather than more common pieces. Damaged items will not be accepted for auction. Members who would like to consign items may contact Andy Flachs at ajflachs@adams.net or Jeff Kolodey at jkolodey@wkblue.net.

The auction will start with a preview at 6:30 PM on Friday, July 22nd, with the auction beginning at 7:00 PM. With a limited number of high-quality items, we hope to finish the auction earlier enough so that attendees will still have time to take in a little Pittsburgh nightlife! Andy and Jeff will also be curating the Facebook page dedicated to the auction, which will include photos of the consigned items with more details about the auction.

Six Months Until HLCCA Conference 2011!

HLCCA Conference 2011 in Pittsburgh, PA starts just 6 months from today. We have some great plans in store, which the HLCCA Officers mulled over at last weekend's Officers' Meeting. HLCCA Officers' Meeting This Weekend

FABULOUS FIESTA®!--75 Years of America's Favorite Dinnerware

Honoring the 75th anniversary of Fiesta dinnerware in 2011, the Museum of Ceramics in East Liverpool, OH features the exhibit "FABULOUS FIESTA®!--75 Years of America's Favorite Dinnerware." The exhibit includes vintage and contemporary Fiesta dinnerware, including a RASPBERRY Presentation Bowl. The exhibit is open during normal museum hours and is included in the price of admission. The exhibit will be on display through July 2011. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
